6 reviews for Frigidaire Professional 33 Inch Refrigerator and Freezer Set for Modern Kitchens

  1. Amazon Customer

    Inexcusable incompetence
I’m appalled at how many problems I’ve had with this product and there is absolutely no excuse for pawning such a poorly made product on unsuspecting customers. They have hounded me to buy an expensive warranty from day one and now I see why they have been so persistent. After multiple service calls, while under the one year warranty, now I’m a month past one year and the refrigerator is not cooling. How bad does a company have to be for this many problems to occur within the first year, particularly when it was so expensive. American made garbage.

  2. Savannah Dominguez

    Best fridge I ever had
I love this unitWe have had two so far and with no issues. It’s to bad there are bad reviews when this has been such a great fudge and freezer.

  3. Mark Langlois

    Everything was broken upon unboxing.
Did not unbox immediately due to delays in house. When it was unboxed (no visible damage to box), the compressor had leaked freeon everywhere. Then the tube to water filter was broken and spilled water all over within the fridge. Then after that was fixed, the tube from valve up to the cup filler remains broken and leaks. Frigidaire refuses to make good on warranty. 3000 dollar pile of junk.

The $1200 Rebate won’t work if you buy on Amazon!! Quality not what it should be either
Nice design and good looking units. Trim kit cost another $600. Quality is typical throwaway appliance quality that all the brands have descended to nowadays. Had to grind off a hinge bolt head to install the trim kit because the bolt receiver broke free and would just spin in place. EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING. Then the $1200 rebate I was counting on was DENIED. GUT PUNCH-BAIT AND SWITCH. Everything 4 the Home was the Amazon seller mine came from. The last mile shipping carrier took FOREVER as well. Overall a D+ experience.

Poor quality & service / Non-functional+Missing+Damaged Parts / Terrible factory & dealer supports
It was a 4-year ordeal, and the saga doesn’t appear to over yet.We remodeled the house in 2018. Ordered the set, but 1 year later still didn’t get delivery. The excuse was that the factory burned down and the poroduction had to restart production at a different facility. Finally was notified to re-order in Dec 2020 w/ $1500 extra costs.Ordered the FPFU19F8WF + FPRU19F8WF and the new double-wide trim kit.Delivery was July 2021. 3 years total in ordering to delivery.Crew from the local Frigidaire dealer showed up, paired up the two units, and pushed into the cut-out. No problem, but they managed to scratch the left door and pinch the waterline to the freezer’s ice maker (insisted on using a super-long 8′ steel braided line when a 4′ one should have been more than enough). So clearly, the ice maker didn’t work. They came back 2 times and still couldn’t resolve it. Kept telling me there is a problem with my water lines (which worked for 10 years on the old set).Dealer ordered the left replacement door in the meantime…Finally, the dealer told me to call their service company which sent a tech out to check. He order a bunch of parts including water inlet valve and complete ice maker assembly. Another few weeks later, tech came back w the parts and eventually got the ice maker to work – this was after I on my own replace their self-inflicted 8′ kinked line with a good 4′ water line as well as confirmed pressure and flow before his 2nd visit.Of course, no replacement left door for him to swap out. So more wait…Door finally delivered sometimes in late Nov 2021.Many calls to the service company to have their tech out to swap the door, and to date – it hasn’t happened. That’s now almost 1 year from the door delivery!By July 2021, we noticed the left door does not want to move or close smoothly. Several calls to the dealer and was told the warranty now expired – BUT THEY HAVE NOT REPLACED THE SAME DEFECTIVE DOOR FOR OVER A YEAR!Now we see that the left door fails to seal completely.Close inspection shows that the left door sits directly on the exposed nut on the bottom hinge – I guess the bearing was probably never came from the factory. The right door appears to have the correct part.So all in all, it has been a painful experience. The set works when it did and got the job done. I hope nothing else bad would surface, but who knows?!?But in terms of build quality, fit & finish, and service quality – it’s really not impressive!

    Don’t fall for it
There should be a class action lawsuit for this set. It looks so tempting, and admittedly the size, look and layout are unbeatable. But you’ll almost certainly end up with a dead fridge that refuses to cool, and a giant hole that no other fridge/freezer pair will fit, because the fridge is a defective design and doesn’t last. We got a couple years out of ours before the first breakdown, which set us back almost $2k. New compressor, dryer, copper tubing, basically the entire cooling system was replaced. Great, I thought, I’m sure it’ll work this time. Nope. It’s gone out FIVE times now. The 3rd and 4th times were under warranty by the appliance repair company that had fixed it the second time it died, and they should be given sainthood for what they did. But note it’s gone out a fifth and final time…I won’t be fixing it this time, it’s going to the dump. Unfortunately, that leaves me trying to find a set that will fill the huge opening left by this piece of junk and I’ll have to spend on custom millwork to make the new pair look nice. The only good thing I can say about this set is the freezer has never missed a beat. But why can’t they build a fridge that lasts? It’s inexcusable.
